Expert Metal Roofing Installation in Fox Chapel, PA

Metal roofing installation in Fox Chapel means working on large-lot estates with steep pitches, dormers, multiple valleys, and rooflines that demand precise panel fitting. Pittsburgh Home Renovations handles the full scope: deck inspection, underlayment, panel layout, flashing at every penetration, and ridge and trim work sized to your home's profile. Fox Chapel's older custom homes often carry slate or aging shingles that have reached the end of their service life. Metal is a practical next step. Pittsburgh's climate brings freeze-thaw cycles, heavy snow loads, and ice dam pressure every winter. A properly installed metal roof sheds snow quickly and resists the moisture intrusion that damages traditional materials over time. The wooded lots along Fox Chapel Road also mean debris load and shaded surfaces, so we account for panel finish and drainage detail at every run. If you own a custom home in Fox Chapel and want a roof that holds up without repeated repair cycles, call Pittsburgh Home Renovations for a site assessment.

Metal Roofing Installation FAQ

Common questions about metal roofing installation in Fox Chapel, PA.

Yes, we install metal roofing on Fox Chapel homes transitioning off slate. We inspect the deck condition first to confirm it can support the new system before any work begins.

Metal roofing works well on steep-pitch and multi-valley rooflines common across Fox Chapel estates. Panel profiles and flashing details are cut and fitted to each roof's specific geometry.

Metal roofing is well-suited to Pittsburgh's winters because its smooth surface sheds snow quickly and resists the ice dam formation that damages shingle roofs. Freeze-thaw movement is managed through panel systems designed to expand and contract without fastener failure.

Pittsburgh Home Renovations assesses your existing deck and framing before installation begins. Most Fox Chapel custom homes are structurally sound for metal, but we confirm load capacity on every project.

Metal roofing is regularly installed on older custom homes in Fox Chapel as a replacement for worn slate, shingle, or shake systems. The installation process accounts for the existing structure and any deck repairs needed before panels go on.

Ask whether the contractor has experience with complex rooflines and estate-scale projects in Fox Chapel specifically. Confirm they carry current Pennsylvania registration, liability insurance, and can provide references from comparable local projects.

I would like to thank Stephen and his crew for the amazing work they did remodeling my outdated kitchen (last two pictures). I took my time comparing other contractors prior to the start of the remodel, but Stephen stood out with his professionalism, attention to detail, and fair pricing. He helped us choose the right materials and even provided a 3D model to give us a clear idea of how the final kitchen would look. His contract was very well structured, with everything clearly listed, there were no hidden fees or surprises at the end of the project. His communication was excellent throughout the entire process. They handled everything you see in the photos, removing the bulkhead, adding a dishwasher, new flooring, painting, backsplash tile, garbage disposal, under-cabinet lighting, installing new lights, laying a new water line for the fridge’s water dispenser, and installing all the appliances. What stood out most to me was that Stephen made sure everything was up to his own high standards. If something wasn’t quite there, he made sure it got corrected, which really shows how much he cares about the quality of his work, and I really appreciate that kind of attention to detail. I’m so glad I went with Renewed Homes Construction after taking the time to compare others. If I have more projects in the future, I’ll definitely work with them again. 10/10, highly recommend!

I had a good experience with Renewed Home Construction doing a full kitchen remodel at my house. From initial quote to the end of project, Stephen was quick and responsive to communicate with me. I appreciated having a tight knit group of guys working on my kitchen and not a ton of subcontractors like other remodeling companies use. Overall , the project came out great, turning a previous dark and outdated kitchen into a light, airy, and more space efficient place. I would recommend Stephen and Renewed Home if you’re looking to update your kitchen for an affordable price.

I must give the owners and staff of Renewed Homes the highest possible rating. From the first meeting, I was reassured by the owner that he was interested in what I envisioned, keeping elements of my kitchen and not getting the place gutted and starting over. I say that because other contractors that I'd had come to the house told me that unless I wanted all new cabinets, they weren't interested or they didn't do piecemeal jobs. Renewed Homes assured me it was my kitchen and that they were prepared to take my lead, recommend ideas, and help me make choices but in the end the choices were mine. That's what I appreciated about their website, that all their projects are unique, large or small and my project was not small. New floor, counters, walls, appliances, and may new cabinets. I appreciated the staff, who showed up on time, minimized the disruption, respected my home and completed the project when they said they would. I have nothing but respect and admiration for this company and would highly recommend them.

I loved working with Renewed Homes on my kitchen remodel and highly recommend them. My kitchen is small and required some space optimization, but I didn't have a huge budget to work with. Stephen was extremely responsive and helped me understand my options when I asked (many) questions about the possibilities for the design. The team worked quickly and the work itself is high quality. I'd had a negative experience with a previous contractor so was anxious and probably not the easiest client, but I quickly realized I could trust this company and hope to work with them again in the future. Thank you!!

I recently had the pleasure of working with Stephen Callaway and Renewed Homes Construction, and I can't say enough about the fantastic job they did on my Bathroom and Kitchen renovation. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Stephen and his team were true professionals. They demonstrated remarkable craftsmanship and attention to detail in every aspect of the project. Whether it was the meticulous tile work in the bathroom or the flawless complete renovation of our kitchen, their expertise was evident. Communication was another area where Stephen excelled. He kept my wife and I informed at every step, promptly addressing any questions or concerns we had. His transparency and commitment to meeting deadlines made the entire process stress-free and enjoyable. Stephen even showed up Thanksgiving Day to finish up before our family and friends showed up for Thanksgiving dinner. Stephen and Robbie were always punctual, respectful of our home, and cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day. Their work ethic and professionalism truly set them apart from other contractors we’ve worked with in the past. In short, I highly recommend Renewed Homes for any renovation or construction project. Their outstanding workmanship, excellent communication, and unwavering commitment to quality was greatly appreciated. I am thrilled with the results and will definitely be using their services again in the future! Thank you Stephen, for turning my wife’s “dream kitchen and bathroom” vision into reality!!
